Alex McGowan, General Manager of Product at Cathay Pacific, said: “Cathay Pacific has always been committed to enhancing the quality of both in-flight and ground services and products, aiming to deliver a fresh experience to our passengers. In July 2010, we launched a new lounge at London Heathrow Airport, followed by the opening of our brand-new ‘The Garden’ lounge at Hong Kong International Airport in October 2010. We are currently renovating ‘The Wing’ and have other projects underway across our route network, details of which will be announced in due course.”

The Frankfurt lounge adopts the award-winning design elements of Cathay Pacific’s Hong Kong lounges, including the white Carrara marble reception desks from ‘The Wing’ and ‘The Pier’, as well as the Long Bar from ‘The Pier’. Additionally, Hong Kong-based artist Maria Lobo has created exclusive artworks for Cathay Pacific, adding a unique artistic touch to the overall space.
The new lounge offers 97 comfortable armchairs and three shower facilities for passengers to freshen up and relax, with dedicated staff available to provide towels and other essentials upon request. For dining, the buffet features a wide selection, including various Asian and Western hot and cold dishes, beverages, hot soups, sandwiches, salads, freshly baked bread, fruits, and desserts; a self-service dim sum counter has also been added near the entrance. Other services include desktop computers with internet access, printers, as well as local and international newspapers and magazines, keeping travelers well-informed of global news.
