Standing in long queues at the boarding gate always takes up a lot of time when traveling abroad. Starting from the end of March, China Airlines has successively launched its “e-Boarding Pass” service at Hong Kong, Frankfurt, and Kansai International Airport in Osaka. By using the China Airlines website or the CI Mobile APP on Apple iOS, you can complete all check-in procedures in one go, shortening the usual boarding process wait time—boarding gate formalities can be handled in just 3 seconds.

Following other e-services such as “e-Check-In,” “self-printed boarding passes,” “airport self-service check-in kiosks (KIOSK),” and “self-printed baggage tags,” China Airlines has introduced its new e-Boarding Pass service at the end of March at Hong Kong, Frankfurt, and Kansai International Airport in Osaka. Passengers departing from airports where the new service is available can complete online pre-check-in, seat selection, and other procedures 3 to 24 hours before departure, then download the “e-Boarding Pass” via mobile email or the CI Mobile APP.

Passengers without checked baggage can go straight to the security checkpoint and boarding gate after arriving at the airport by presenting their e-boarding pass for identity and security checks. At the boarding gate, simply scan the barcode displayed on your phone with the scanner—boarding takes just 2–3 seconds.
