Morrocoy National Park is located in the northwest of Venezuela, in the southeast of Falcón State. In May 1974, it was designated as a national park by the Venezuelan government. The park covers an area of 32,090 hectares and features mountains, water bodies, islands, beaches, and extensive mangrove swamps, attracting thousands of migratory birds to rest here.
