As early as 1975, VauDe began designing and producing backpacks for mountaineering enthusiasts. By 1997, the company’s product range had expanded to include mountaineering backpacks, sleeping bags, tents, and various functional clothing for sports.
The company’s founder, Mr. Albrecht von Dewitz, personally oversaw the development of backpacks and tents, earning these two product categories two major European outdoor sports awards: the European "European Outdoor Innovation Prize" and the American "US-Back Packer Editors Award," in recognition of their pioneering contribution to creating the first rainproof mountaineering backpacks. VauDe’s recognition was truly well-deserved.
VauDe's outdoor sports products have been exported to 25 countries, from Australia to Venezuela. This sales network continues to expand. VauDe has subsidiaries in China and Poland, namely Huade Tourism & Sports Goods Co., Ltd. in China and Alpinus in Poland. Huade in China employs over 500 highly skilled technicians and is equipped with modern production facilities, delivering top-quality products.
