Cuquenan Falls is located in the mountainous region of Venezuela and is the country’s second longest waterfall. This three-tiered waterfall features one drop that spans 670 meters, making it the world’s second highest three-tiered waterfall. Some also refer to this magnificent sight as the 11th highest “long river” in terms of elevation in the world.

The terrain at both ends of Cuquenan Falls is rugged, with nearly vertical cliffs, creating a spectacular view that attracts a large number of tourists every year. However, for a long time, due to limitations and differences in geographical conditions, surveying technology, and measurement standards, the height of the falls and its global ranking have been highly debated. As a result, its position among the world’s longest waterfalls varies dramatically—from second to twentieth place—and different publications and websites list it with varying rankings.
