This national park with a strong prairie charm is located in the southern part of Saskatchewan. Established in 1981, it covers an area of 907 square kilometers and was created to protect one of Canada’s few remaining, undisturbed prairie ecosystems. It's the perfect place to immerse yourself in the endless beauty of the grasslands. The sky here is extraordinarily blue, the grass is incredibly green, the wildlife is the happiest, and the people are the most joyful. Canada’s black-tailed prairie dogs live only in this one peaceful park, along with rare or endangered species such as pronghorns, sage grouse, burrowing owls, ferruginous hawks, and black-footed ferrets.
