The terrain of the Texas Hill Country is full of surprisingly varied landscapes, offering the perfect yet uneven canvas for natural beauty. Scenic and fertile, it is dotted with countless wineries, gourmet restaurants, wildflower farms, lakes and rivers... Driving along the highways feels like entering an “art gallery”! Through the car window, the wildflowers of March transform the scenery into a vivid painting, and the scattered small towns resemble ideal worlds from a utopia.

For people of all ages, choosing a trip to the Texas Hill Country is a flawless choice. A combination of reconstructed landscapes and natural resources, pleasant weather, water wonderlands, and sports-themed nights make it a popular destination for family outings. Driving through the rolling pastoral towns of the Texas Hill Country, it’s hard to imagine that about 30 meters beneath your car tires lie thousands of caves, some featuring massive waterfalls and ancient animal fossils. Every year, brave cave enthusiasts come here to “pilgrimage,” walking, crawling, and swinging through “show caves.” They’re called “show caves” because they’re equipped with walkways and dramatic lighting to showcase their stunning landscape features.

Austin, the capital of Texas, is one of the fastest-growing cities in the U.S. and is known as a “romantic city with sound,” crowned as the “Live Music Capital of the World.” Bold, vibrant, and passionate, the city reveals its unique charm. South by Southwest (SXSW), one of Texas’ largest festivals, draws global visitors to Austin every March to experience an electrifying musical journey and discover the dynamic appeal and unique spirit of Texas.

SXSW Music Festival
Founded in the late 1980s, SXSW is a cultural event with over 30 years of history and has become a major hub for diverse creativity among creatives, geeks, and the culturally inclined. Each year during the event, Austinites gear up for SXSW, with brand promotions, creative interactions, and music and film-themed settings visible everywhere, attracting a large number of visitors. The 2020 SXSW event will be held from March 13 to 22 in Austin, featuring a series of interactive technology, music, and film activities that offer an unparalleled learning and interactive experience, as well as creative exchanges within the film and music industries. SXSW embodies a carefree vibe and exhilarating energy where “cool” is redefined.

Texans are passionate about live music, drawing in wildly exciting sounds. The music festival experience is a pursuit for modern music lovers and an intimate way to understand the spirit of a place. Texas music is as unique and diverse as the people who live in the “Lone Star State,” with a wide variety of musical forms—offering plenty of choices for every visiting music enthusiast. The 2020 festival is expected to attract over 150,000 attendees, with around 2,000 emerging bands from more than 60 countries performing on 100 stages. A major highlight of the festival is that every performance venue is located close to each other, surrounded by different bars and clubs. Well-known artists and bands such as Mike Posner, Imagine Dragons, and Foster the People were all discovered at the SXSW Music Festival.

Even when there’s no festival, you can stop by any bar or restaurant to enjoy live music performances. Sixth Street is a historic and entertainment-rich area and the live music hub of Austin. Year-round concerts are held in venues of all sizes across Sixth Street, the Warehouse District, and the Red River Entertainment District. Wonderful blues, wild rock, and clear country music resonate in the hearts of every Austin resident and visitor.
