Asia’s first Arthas statue unveiled on Taichung’s Calligraphy Greenway

In collaboration with a major gaming company, the Taichung City Government commissioned renowned Hollywood-based Taiwanese sculptor Sam Wang to meticulously craft a statue of the popular character “Arthas” from the Warcraft series, creating a new landmark on the Calligraphy Greenway. The statue is expected to remain in Taichung for eight years.

As the only Arthas statue in all of Asia, this two-story, 1,814-kilogram masterpiece stands vividly and impressively on the Calligraphy Greenway, serving as a one-of-a-kind cultural landmark. It is hoped that this Arthas statue will not only represent a hero from eSports and gaming but also become a famous attraction in Taichung.
