The widely acclaimed Taipei Riverside Music Festival has grown in scale this year by joining forces with the highly anticipated “Dadaocheng Lover’s Day.” The event features performances by famous singers Chen f, Chairman Band, and Matthew Lien, along with a spectacular fireworks display on the evening of August 6th, accompanied by innovative, mixed music arrangements that offer a refreshing experience. From now until August 27th, every weekend, the public can head to the riverside parks to enjoy music and explore the market stalls, immersing themselves in the joyful and charming summer atmosphere by the water.

The weekly series of performances at the “2016 Taipei Riverside Music Festival” invites acts including Chen f, Chairman Band, Matthew Lien, Hsiao Fu-de, Zhang San Li Si, Funk Brothers, Pia, Nikki Jiàng, Taiwanese Power Company, and Cloud Somersault, among others. Under the setting sun, sway to the music at Dadaocheng Wharf.

The annually most anticipated “Dadaocheng Lover’s Day” event is set to launch on August 6th (Saturday). Headlined by Chairman Band, Chen f, and Matthew Lien, four hours of non-stop live performances will take place at Dadaocheng Wharf. The event brings together a Dream Market, interactive booths, classic old shops, food trucks, and a dazzling fireworks show, all accompanied by creative, mixed-music soundtracks. Couples and visitors alike are invited to welcome a brilliant and romantic summer by the river.

The weekly Riverside Market encourages visitors to explore Taipei’s historic riverside districts, gathering together artisans, cross-disciplinary creators, cultural and design exhibits, performance art, traditional crafts, community initiatives, and local shops. Stroll through the old neighborhoods rich in tradition, browse the unique and intriguing goods at the market stalls, and in the evening, sway to light summer tunes by the river — creating a delightful summer journey along Taipei’s waterfront.
