The Ultimate Christmas Feast Awaits in Texas

The end of the National Day holiday marks less than two months remaining in 2019, yet every year's end brings a widely celebrated holiday—Christmas. In Texas, Christmas is like China’s Spring Festival, a time to appreciate the year’s efforts and gather with loved ones, while many locales host festive activities to celebrate this important and grand occasion.

Grapevine, a historic city in northern Texas, is located between Dallas and Fort Worth. Known for its convenient transportation, luxurious hotels, and abundant entertainment options, the city has also gained fame for its exciting holiday events, earning the title of Texas’ Christmas Capital. Recognized as the most festive city in Texas, Grapevine offers 1,400 Christmas events throughout its 40-day holiday season. These include delightful Christmas feasts, holiday theater performances, dazzling and heartwarming light shows, the largest ice-skating wonderland, and numerous spectacular shows, all creating unforgettable Christmas memories for visitors.

Built in 1878, Gruene Hall is one of the oldest and most renowned dance halls in Texas. Located by the Guadalupe River, Gruene Hall hosts a series of festive events during the Christmas season, such as traditional New Orleans-style gospel brunches, the 27th Annual Christmas Run, and the Christmas Cowboy Lighting Ceremony. Additionally, special musical performances are held in celebration of the holidays. In the summer, visitors can enjoy river tubing and stroll to Gruene Hall with friends to catch live shows, often featuring performances by well-known celebrities.

The 44th Armadillo Christmas Bazaar, taking place from December 13 to 24 at the Palmer Events Center, is an iconic holiday event in Austin. The festival features nearly 200 local artisans alongside live music and specialty foods. Visitors can admire exquisite works by local artists, support the creative community, and purchase unique gifts. Over the 12-day event, the music stage will host 36 bands, known for their outstanding and high-quality performances—offerings you won’t find anywhere else.
