MacKenzie Art Gallery
The MacKenzie Art Gallery is located in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. Opened in 1953, it covers an area of up to 9,300 square meters and has made outstanding contributions to the collection and exhibition of Indigenous art, making it one of Regina’s most renowned art galleries.
The MacKenzie Art Gallery has an exhibition space of about 2,200 square meters, divided into 8 major galleries. It attracts around 160,000 visitors annually, becoming a gathering place for numerous art enthusiasts. The gallery houses a collection of up to 4,000 works, including historical Canadian art and contemporary pieces, with a particular interest in Western Canadian art. Its 19th- to 20th-century European works on paper are considered among the finest collections in Western Canada and are highly recommended for viewing. In recent years, photography, folk art, and Indigenous art have become key focal points of the museum’s collection.
The MacKenzie Art Gallery is open from 10:00 to 17:30 from Monday to Thursday, from 10:00 to 21:00 on Fridays, and from 12:00 to 17:30 on weekends and holidays. It welcomes art lovers and visitors from around the world.
