Attraction Introduction In a book from 300 BC, a Babylonian priest and writer named Berosus mentioned that some people had come close to Noah's Ark; in the 13th century, the famous Italian traveler Marco Polo, after leaving China, visited Mount Ararat in person and wrote in his diary: Noah's Ark is still moored atop one of the highest peaks, where the snow never melts all year round. Instead, as winter snow accumulates, the layers grow thicker, burying the Ark under millennia of snow. 　

　Yet for thousands of years, historians, archaeologists, explorers, and people of faith have flocked here, enduring great hardships in search of the Ark that is so closely tied to our very existence.
