The new year brought some great news: following Belarus and Myanmar, Hong Kong SAR passport holders can now enjoy visa-free entry to Armenia as well. As long as you hold a valid passport that hasn’t expired or has at least one year of validity remaining, you can stay for up to 180 days.
It’s been about four years since my Caucasus travel experience, and looking back, entering Georgia and Armenia from Turkey along the Black Sea was truly a unique adventure. At that time, it was my first long-distance relationship, and it was quite unplanned that I ended up in the Caucasus. I rarely mentioned this trip on my homepage—maybe because I’ve traveled to so many places and never had the time to revisit it. Now seems like a good opportunity to share it.
When it comes to Armenia, I made quite a few local friends. We would dine out every night and visit different bars to sample the local wine and cuisine. My ex-girlfriend was also from Armenia. All those past experiences have now become memories that will never come again. People say memories are beautiful, but there’s no use looking back at what’s gone.
Well, enough of that sentimental nonsense. If I have the time in the future, I’ll share more travel guides for Georgia and Armenia with you all.
