Jinci Park
Jinci Park is a cultural tourism attraction.
Guide:
Fulong Mountain is an artificial hill in the park. Midway up the mountain, there is a stone inscription that reads “Fulong Mountain.” At the foot of the hill, there is a stone cave with flowing water, which pours out from the mouth of a stone dragon into a pool. Beside the pool, there are two stone-carved arhats, and in the pool there are stone carvings of a heavenly maiden and Magu. A stone tiger by the pool appears to be drinking water, with lifelike detail and delightful charm.
In the middle of the park is the Deyin Studio. In the northwest is the Xianweng Pavilion, also known as the Red Pavilion. It is named after Lü Dongbin, one of the Eight Immortals, who is enshrined here. The pavilion was built during the Hongzhi era of the Ming Dynasty (1488–1505) and was renovated in the 44th year of the Kangxi reign of the Qing Dynasty (1705). There is also the Beiji Pavilion, a building constructed in the Ming Dynasty and renovated in the Qing Dynasty, which is simple, dignified, elegant, and refined. The doorway of its base cave is inscribed with “Ancient Tang?” Taoran Village occupies a corner of its own, with charming pavilions and bright kiosks.
Highlights:
In the southeastern part of Jinci Park is the park’s water town area. Commonly referred to as South Lake, the water here is clear and beautiful. There is a three-arch bridge over the lake, with pedestrians on the bridge and boats sailing below, presenting a classic scene of the Jiangnan region.
