Attraction Introduction

The Golden Statues Terrace, also known as the Lotus Terrace, is located within the tourist area of the Jin Temple in Taiyuan. The so-called "golden people" refer to iron men or iron warriors. Among the four iron figures, the one in the southwest corner is the most outstanding — it was cast in the fourth year of Shaosheng during the Northern Song Dynasty (1097), gleaming and smooth, and is referred to as the "stainless steel" of the Song Dynasty. It has a unique shape and a majestic, heroic presence. The iron figure in the northeast corner was recast in the second year of the Republic of China (1913).
