The former site of the Anti-Japanese Democratic Government of Qingtai County is located in Duliuping Village, Yaocheng Town, Jinyuan District, covering an area of 276 square meters.

On November 8, 1937, Japanese troops occupied Taiyuan, and the city fell. In the same month, the Fourth Special Administrative Office of Shanxi Province appointed Zhao Xiangrong (a member of the Communist Party of China) as the magistrate of Taiyuan County and Ren Wuseng (a member of the Communist Party of China) as the magistrate of Qingyuan County. They ventured behind enemy lines to establish an anti-Japanese democratic government in the Qingtai region, with both counties operating jointly. In January 1938, the Anti-Japanese Democratic Government of Qingtai County was officially established in Duliuping Village, with Ren Wuseng as the head. In June of the same year, in accordance with the Party's united front policy and under the directive of the "War Mobilization Committee," the government was taken over by personnel dispatched by Yan Xishan’s Eighth Administrative Office. In January 1940, following instructions from the Central Committee of Wenjiao (Wenshui) Jiaocheng (Jiaocheng) County of Northwest Shanxi and the Eighth Administrative Office of the Second Guerrilla Base Area of Shanxi Province, the Qingtai-Xu region established the CCP United County Committee of Qing (yuan) Tai (yuan) Xu (gou), along with the county governments of Taiyuan and Qingxu. In April 1942, the Seventh Regional Committee and Seventh Administrative Office of Northwest Shanxi decided to merge the counties of Qingxu and Taiyuan into the Anti-Japanese Democratic Government of Qing (yuan) Tai (yuan) County (abbreviated as Qingtai County Government), initially based in Liuzhegou and later relocated to Baishigou. The former site of the Duliuping Anti-Japanese Democratic Government consists of an east and west courtyard, originally housing more than ten office rooms, all of which were burned down during multiple Japanese “mopping-up” operations in 1939. Between 1998 and 2002, the local government renovated the existing structures in the west courtyard and built new cave dwellings to serve as exhibition and display spaces. In 1998, the site was designated as a district-level cultural relics protection unit by the People’s Government of Nanshan District, and in 2004, it was recognized as a patriotic education base by the Jinyuan District Party Committee and District Government.

Yaocheng Town: A township under the jurisdiction of Nanshan District, Taiyuan City. Established as the Yaocheng People's Commune in 1958 and reorganized as a township in 1984. Located in the southwest of the district, it covers an area of 59.7 square kilometers and has a population of 23,000. National Highway 307 runs through the town. The township administers 15 village committees: Yaocheng, Gaojiabao, Beishaoliao, Tiancun, Zhaoyuantou, Xishaoliao, Guyi, Dayuan, Dong’ergou, Nanyu, Huaihu, Gedong, Xingping, Huanglou, and Canshi.
