Diantou Village: Diantou Village is situated in Jinyuan District, Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province. Surrounded by mountains, the village features towering ancient locust trees and rows of cave dwellings that are staggered along the slopes, stretching about two kilometers from east to west. The site boasts a majestic atmosphere and spectacular scenery.

To the north of Diantou Village lies Mengshan Fort, which stands at an elevation of 1,325 meters. This site was not only a summer retreat palace for Liu Jiyuan, the emperor of the Northern Han Dynasty, but also saw the construction of numerous bunkers by Yan Xishan’s army during the Liberation War. From the top of Mengshan Fort, one can overlook the entire urban area of Taiyuan, with JinYang Lake appearing as small as a fishpond, its surface shimmering in the sunlight.
