The Sulfur Gully Grottoes are a protected cultural heritage site of Taiyuan City.

The Sulfur Gully Grottoes are located on the rocky cliffs of Sulfur Gully, approximately 1.5 kilometers west of Xizhen Village, Jinci Town, Jinyuan District, and date back to the Tang Dynasty.

The Sulfur Gully Grottoes are a municipal-level cultural heritage site of Taiyuan City.

Jinci Town: A town under the jurisdiction of the southern suburbs of Taiyuan City. Established as the Jinci Commune in 1958 and upgraded to a town in 1984. It is located in the southwestern part of the district, 10.8 kilometers from the district government. Covering an area of 74.4 square kilometers, it has a population of 27,000. The town administers 29 village committees: Jinci, Suocun, Dongyuan, Changxiang, Nanda Temple, Beida Temple, Huata, Chiqiao, Xizhen, Yangjia Village, Xiaozhan, Xiaozhan Ying, Wangguo, Nanzhang Village, Xinzhuang, Dongzhuang, Dongzhuang Ying, Wanhuabao, Sanjia Village, Yezhuang, Niujia Kou, Qingyanghe, Yaotou, Xiashi, Wujiayu, Sanquantou, Wupo, Mingma, and Xinjian Village.
