Suan Pakkad Palace is a complex of ancient teakwood houses built by Prince and Princess Chumbhot of Nakhon Sawan, grandchildren of King Rama V, as traditional Thai residences for welcoming distinguished guests. The “Phra Thinang Phiman Rattaya” building, relocated from Ayutthaya, features murals painted in gold and black lacquer on its interior walls. These murals depict various legendary stories from the Ramayana and the life of the Buddha. The palace also hosts exhibitions of ancient artworks collected by the prince and princess couple, with ticket proceeds used to support young artists.
