Siam Ocean World is located on the basement levels one and two of Siam Paragon Shopping Mall in Bangkok. Opened in 2005, it covers an area of 10,000 square meters — equivalent to two football fields — and holds over four million liters of water, about the capacity of three Olympic-sized swimming pools. As the largest aquarium in Southeast Asia, it combines entertainment and education, offering visitors a range of programs to learn about the habitats of aquatic animals.

Home to more than 30,000 marine creatures, including sharks, penguins, seals, blue-ringed octopuses, sawfish, stingrays, gray sharks, elephant sharks, lionfish, leafy sea dragons, and giant spider crabs, among 400 species, Siam Ocean World boasts a rich diversity of shark species such as sand tiger sharks, leopard sharks, and blacktip sharks. The aquarium is divided into seven distinct zones based on the animals’ natural environments: Fantastic Oceans, Tropical Rainforest, Rocky Shore, Magical Jellyfish, Deep Reef, and Amazing World. Each zone presents its own wonders and mysteries, leaving visitors in awe of the ocean’s diversity and vastness.

Inside the aquarium, you’ll marvel at the rarity and ferocity of the “king of the ocean,” the sand tiger shark, be captivated by the grace of jellyfish and manta rays, and burst into laughter at the adorable antics of penguins.
