Children's Discovery Museum

The Children's Discovery Museum is Thailand’s first museum dedicated to children. It aims to foster independence, activity, and creative thinking in young minds, breaking away from the traditional “do not touch” rules of conventional museums. It encourages hands-on exploration and active participation rather than passive observation from a distance.

The Children's Discovery Museum encourages children to seek answers, explore how the world works, and understand natural cycles. The exhibition spaces are spread across three buildings, featuring 8 themed galleries, 123 exhibits and activities, as well as an outdoor learning space. The first building houses four exhibits focused on the body, mind, and science; society and culture; and science and technology, sparking children’s curiosity about the wondrous world around them. The second building's galleries mainly tell the story of the forest creation and maintenance at the Queen Sirikit Botanic Garden, and also include hands-on projects such as candle-making and weaving. The third building emphasizes the natural environment, highlighting the richness and diversity of the world, and also allows children to see live animals such as fish, scorpions, and rabbits.

The outdoor learning space is a dedicated area for relaxation and play, where children can try their hand at carpentry by building a house or climb a 7-meter-high adventure net to build courage.
