Chatuchak Park is located in Bangkok. Construction began in 1975, and it opened to the public in 1980, making it one of the oldest public parks in Bangkok. The park boasts a serene environment with lush green lawns, shady trees, and vibrant flowers, serving as a popular spot for leisure and recreation on weekends and holidays.

Inside Chatuchak Park is a peaceful artificial lake, its emerald-green waters acting like a mirror that reflects the surrounding plants and flowers. Occasionally, a few small boats drift quietly across the still lake, where people chat and laugh happily, their joyful voices echoing and spreading cheer to others nearby. A small bridge spanning the lake resembles a curved yellow crescent, standing out vividly against the greenery — a touch of soft yellow amid the lush green, elegant and aesthetically pleasing, blending in just right.

On regular days, the park is like a quiet maiden, enjoying her solitude. But come the weekend, Chatuchak Park transforms into a massive bustling market, teeming with energy. The park gathers numerous vendors selling a wide variety of goods, attracting many visitors for shopping and earning the nickname “Asia’s largest flea market.” Around 15,000 stalls set up shop in the park, offering an incredibly diverse range of items.
