Royal Thai Air Force Museum

The Royal Thai Air Force Museum is located near Don Mueang Airport in Bangkok. Established in 1952, its mission is to collect, preserve, and display various types of aviation equipment since the development of the aviation industry in Siam, as well as military aircraft and items used by the Royal Thai Air Force.

The museum offers a comprehensive overview of Thailand’s significant role and contributions during World War II, exhibiting many related images from that period. The museum houses countless aircraft, displayed across four main exhibition halls: the first introduces Thailand’s aviation history, aircraft used by the Royal Thai Air Force after WWII, and planes designed and built by Thais; the second serves as a temporary exhibition hall showcasing rare flying machines not seen elsewhere in the world; the third displays aircraft used in the anti-communist war; and the fifth hall features a collection of helicopters and the last propeller-driven fighter jets used by the Royal Thai Air Force.

In addition to indoor aircraft and aviation exhibits, the outdoor area of the Royal Thai Air Force Museum also serves as an exhibition space, featuring jet fighters, transport planes, training aircraft, and radar equipment.
