Samut Prakan Crocodile Farm and Zoo is located in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand. Established in 1950 by Chinese-Thai businessman Yao Hai Quan, it covers an area of 300 acres and is an internationally renowned crocodile farm — the largest of its kind in the world. The biggest crocodile in the world also resides here. This crocodile was discovered in the Philippines in 2011, measuring 19 feet long and weighing 1,114.27 kilograms.

The Samut Prakan Crocodile Farm and Zoo houses over 100,000 crocodiles and a wide variety of wild animals. Visitors can enjoy thrilling and exciting crocodile shows where trainers perform daily alongside the crocodiles, placing their heads and arms into the animals’ gaping jaws — an absolutely breathtaking spectacle. On regular days, there are seven such performances, while on holidays, there are eight. Each show is always packed to capacity. In addition to fierce crocodiles, the zoo is also home to elephants, lions, tigers, monkeys, and other animals. The entertaining elephant shows highlight the animals’ intelligence, with dazzling performances including tightrope walking, ice-skating, and dancing that delight audiences. The zoo is open daily from 8:00 to 20:00.
