Youjupo is widely known as Suncheon Bay, but locals in Yeosu often call it Youjupo because there is a solitary island called Youji Island in the surrounding waters. It is situated between the Yeosu Peninsula and the Goseong Peninsula in Yeosu City, South Korea, featuring vast beaches and meandering coastlines, with numerous small and large islands scattered around. It is one of the most famous coastal tourist destinations in Yeosu.

Youjupo is world-renowned for its beautiful sunsets. Taking a stroll along the beach bathed in the glow of the setting sun or quietly sitting down to watch the fiery red sun dip beyond Youjupo and cast its light across the Goseong Peninsula allows you to feel the sea breeze, sand, and even yourself being tinged with red—a sensation that makes you feel completely immersed in pristine nature, forgetting all worries and stress. In recent years, the Youjupo Beach has hosted a Youjupo Sunset Festival every autumn. Though not large in scale, the seaside bathhouse area offers numerous restaurants and cafes along the shore where friends, couples, and families can relax and enjoy delicious food, adding a unique charm to the experience.
