Yunhe Green Feather Tea
Yunhe Green Feather Tea is a specialty of Yunhe County, Lishui City, Zhejiang Province. Known for its flat, smooth, and neatly uniform leaves with visible buds, vibrant emerald color, apricot-green infusion, rich aroma, and mellow taste, it is a bestseller across China.
Yunhe Green Feather Tea is produced in Zhucun Township of Yunhe County and is a newly developed and crafted local premium tea following other well-known varieties such as Xiangong Xuemao. It is a natural organic tea, meticulously hand-processed through kneading, pan-firing, and roasting, and cultivated in organic tea gardens. The tea contains 4.91% caffeine, 3.36% amino acids, 35.6% tea polyphenols, and 189.92mg/g total catechins, offering considerable nutritional benefits. The dry tea features a flat, smooth appearance, vibrant green color, balanced shape, and delicate quality—when steeped, the leaves resemble green feathers floating in a clouded river, while the infusion boasts a crystal-clear green hue and an elegant, fragrant aroma. Upon its successful development and market launch, it quickly gained favor among tea enthusiasts, becoming a sought-after choice for tasting and gifting. In 2002, it was awarded the title of “Famous Product” at the inaugural Biluochun Culture Festival in Suzhou and won the Gold Award at the China Famous Tea Expo. Relying on over 4,700 acres of existing tea gardens in Zhucun Township, with more than 1,000 acres currently in production, the tea yields over 60 tons of dried tea annually, generating an annual output value exceeding 7 million yuan. As more tea gardens come into production and the plantation area continues to expand, the Yunhe Green Feather Tea industry is set to grow and thrive.
