The Teddy Bear Museum was established to showcase teddy bears, beloved toys enjoyed by people around the world for over a century. In its two exhibition halls, visitors can see teddy bears produced from all over the globe. Guests can also spend a pleasant time at the museum shop, Western restaurant, and an outdoor park with views of the sea. The exhibition halls are broadly divided into a History Hall, an Art Hall, and a Special Exhibition Hall. The History Hall features teddy bears that recreate historical figures in famous scenes from the past hundred years, as well as antique teddy bears. Among them, the teddy bear versions of Michelangelo’s "The Last Supper" and the Mona Lisa are particularly eye-catching. In the Art Hall, you can admire vivid works by masters who have brought teddy bears into the world of fine art, as well as popular animated characters loved by children. Here, you can also find the world’s smallest teddy bear, which is just 4.5 millimeters tall — definitely worth a look. The Special Exhibition Hall displays various teddy bears according to different themed exhibits. If you want to enjoy the scenery of Jeju Island and sample delicious food, be sure to check out the café and bar within the museum. In the café, you can sip fragrant tea while enjoying tasty treats. The bar is a premium venue open only in the summer and only to adults. Aside from the more expensive café and bar, there are many other attractions. The museum courtyard features numerous lifelike bear sculptures and models. The garden, themed around the Half Moon Bear family and a mythical pond, is truly beautiful.

Alternatively, take a city bus to Seogwipo from the intercity bus terminal and get off at the Jeju Folklore & Natural History Museum Complex entrance (60 minutes / 2,700 KRW). ■ From Seogwipo: Take the airport luxury bus from Kyungnam Hotel and get off at the Jeju Folklore & Natural History Museum Complex entrance (20 minutes / 1,000 KRW). Take an intercity bus to Jeju City from the bus terminal and get off at the Jeju Folklore & Natural History Museum Complex entrance (20 minutes / 950 KRW).
