Jeongbang Waterfall is the only coastal waterfall in Asia that flows directly into the sea. It stands 23 meters high and 8 meters wide. The cliffs of Jeongbang Waterfall feature inscriptions reading "Xu Fu, a Chinese who was ordered by Qin Shi Huang (259–210 BC) to find the elixir of immortality, passed by here." The name of Seogwipo also originates from Xu Fu’s return journey westward from this point. The cliff where Jeongbang Waterfall is located rises dramatically by the sea, with ancient pine trees leaning precariously as if about to tumble into the ocean. About 300 meters east of the waterfall is Sojeongbang Waterfall, a smaller waterfall that stands 5 meters tall and is perfect for relaxation in the summer. There is also an observation deck on the coastal cliffs, offering beautiful views of the seaside.

Transportation 1. Take the airport bus from Jeju Airport and get off at the Paradise Hotel stop (before KAL Hotel). From there, follow the signs for Jeongbang Waterfall and walk for about 5 minutes. 2. Take an intercity bus from Jeju Bus Terminal to Seogwipo, which runs every 10–15 minutes. Get off at the No. 1 Square Bus Stop. The journey takes about 1 hour. Alternatively, take a taxi, which takes around 5 minutes.
