Macao Hot Spring

Macao Hot Spring is located in Hutian Village, Beitou District, Taipei City, surrounded by Qixing Mountain and distributed along the Machang River Valley near the Yangjin Highway. Visitors can see sulfur vents by crossing the famous Machang Bridge and heading toward the Lengshuikeng Road, where sulfur deposits can be observed around the vents.

Macao Hot Spring is a volcanic hot spring within the Yangmingshan geothermal zone. The water is acidic, with a pH value between 2 and 4, and can reach a maximum temperature of 99°C. The source water is grayish and semi-transparent, with a sulfur odor, and is classified as a sulfate-chloride spring. It is not suitable for drinking. The hot spring has an abundant and year-round supply of water. Moreover, it is surrounded by stunning natural scenery, allowing visitors to enjoy beautiful landscapes while soaking.
