Wuling Farm

Wuling Farm is a cultural tourism attraction.

Nestled in the valley of the Qijiawan Stream, Wuling Farm spans 772 hectares at an altitude of 1,740–2,100 meters and is a highland farm under the Veterans Affairs Council. Sheltered by surrounding mountains, the farm enjoys cool summers and mild winters. In addition to being suitable for growing a variety of temperate fruits, high-altitude vegetables, and tea, it has also developed into a delightful four-season holiday destination.

The farm’s agricultural produce is most famous for Zhongjin white peaches, Fuji apples, and “Fairy Peach Brand” cabbage, which along with the white-necked crane and the Formosan landlocked salmon are known as the “Five Treasures of Wuling.” In recent years, in line with afforestation policies and to preserve the pristine habitat of the Formosan landlocked salmon, Wuling Farm has gradually reduced its agricultural planting area and transitioned toward forest recreation.

Access the farm by turning onto Wuling Road from the Central Cross-Island Highway Yilan Branch, passing through Baifu, Qianxiang, and Wanshou Bridges to reach the main farm area. Thanks to careful cultivation by the farm management, flowers bloom all year round—from mountain cherries, azaleas, peach blossoms, and apple blossoms in spring; to paulownia in summer; cosmos in autumn; and plum blossoms in winter. These floral displays are complemented by towering trees and lush greenery, as well as the sapphire-like waters of the Qijiawan Stream, creating a rich tapestry of colors. In autumn, a variety of maples, Japanese maples, and ginkgos turn hues of golden yellow, crimson, and deep purple, adding dazzling splashes of color to the farm.

As the hiking trail zigzags uphill, the views become increasingly spectacular—not only offering a clear panorama of the entire farm but also panoramic vistas of the surrounding mountains. The trail ends at Taoshan Waterfall, which is about 50 meters long, graceful and slender, with cool, crystal-clear water. Often shrouded in clouds and mist, the waterfall is mostly heard rather than seen, earning it the poetic name “Smoke-Sounding Waterfall.”

1. Take the Fengyuan Bus bound for Wuling Farm via Lishan from in front of Taichung Railway Station or Fengyuan, and get off at the final stop.

2. Take the Taiwan Motor Transport bus bound for Lishan from near Yilan Railway Station or Luodong, and get off at the Wuling Farm stop.
