The inaugural spherical water projection at the Taichung Light Art Festival captivates audiences

The 2015 Taichung Light Art Festival commenced on October 3rd at Taichung’s most representative attraction—the “Taichung Lake Heart Pavilion,” showcasing Taiwan’s first and largest spherical water projection, setting the stage for a series of exciting performances. During the event, in addition to enjoying stunning light shows, visitors can also explore five historically and artistically rich sites in Taichung, where the most dazzling interactive light art installations are on display.

In conjunction with the completion of the National Taichung Theater, the 2014 festival featured a series of breathtaking light projections on the theater’s uniquely designed architecture, leaving a deep impression. This year, the Taichung Light Art Festival will run from October 3rd to December 13th, integrating three key elements—Time, Light, and Arts—to present an even more spectacular celebration of art.

The entire event will connect historical buildings in Taichung’s West and Central districts, including the Taichung Lake Heart Pavilion, Taichung Prefectural Office, Taichung Prison Martial Arts Field, Taichung Broadcasting Bureau, and Taichung Literature Museum. Through light art and installation art, these historic landmarks will be infused with new vitality.
