The 2015 Taichung Light Festival begins on October 3 at Taichung’s most iconic landmark — the Taichung Lake Heart Pavilion, showcasing Taiwan’s first and largest spherical water projection, kicking off a series of spectacular events. During the festival, in addition to enjoying amazing light shows, visitors can also explore five historically and artistically rich sites in Taichung, where the most dazzling interactive light art installations will be displayed.

In conjunction with the completion of the National Taichung Theater, the 2014 festival featured a series of breathtaking light projections on the theater’s uniquely designed architecture, leaving a deep impression. This year’s Taichung Light Festival will run from October 3 to December 13, integrating the three elements of Time, Light, and Arts to present an even more spectacular event.

The entire festival will connect historical buildings in central and western Taichung, including the Lake Heart Pavilion, Taichung Prefectural Hall, Taichung Prison Martial Arts Field, Taichung Broadcasting Bureau, and the Taichung Literature Museum. Through light art and installation art, these historic sites will be revitalized.
