Deji Reservoir

Deji Reservoir is located in Lishan Village, Heping Township, Taichung. Its thin, double-curved arch dam is one of the top ten dams in the world, standing at a total height of 180 meters, making it one of the tallest in Asia. The reservoir forms an oval-shaped lake spanning 592 square kilometers, with water colors shifting from light green around the edges to dark green, deep green, deep blue, and blue-black, creating ever-changing hues. Whether viewed from afar or up close, the scenery inspires a variety of imaginative moods. Visitors wishing to admire the beauty of Deji Reservoir can get off at the Deji Control Station, then walk down the adjacent road to take in the majestic dam and the emerald-like lakes and mountains.
