Toukashan Mountain

Toukashan Mountain is located within the Dakeng Scenic Area in Taichung City, Taiwan Province, at the border between Taichung City and Xinshe Township — that is, at the easternmost part of Taichung City. It is the highest peak in Taichung, standing at 859 meters above sea level. The area boasts quite unique glacial relict plants, and additionally, temperate plants that originally grew in mid- to high-altitude mountainous regions also survive here due to the influence of the area’s distinctive badland topography.
