E-DA Theme Park

E-DA Theme Park is a land-and-water theme park located in Houli District, Taichung City, Taiwan. It was Taiwan's first BOT (Build-Operate-Transfer) leisure industry development project. The site was formerly the location of the Houlai Sugar Refinery operated by the Taiwan Sugar Corporation (TSC). The park opened on July 1, 2000, and is divided into two major themed areas: "Mariana" and "Adventure World." "Mariana" is a water park offering a variety of aquatic rides, while "Adventure World" focuses on land-based attractions, featuring both general and children's rides.

Adventure World is designed as a vibrant and fantastical celebration kingdom suitable for visitors of all ages, from 0 to 99. This concept inspired the creation of the park, which includes themed designs across six different zones. These combine elements of ruined castles and hyper-modern technology, scenes reminiscent of sci-fi films, six major performance shows, the 12 Zodiac Magic Show, the Beat House Theater, the Phantom Magic Theater, and the spectacular large-scale nighttime sound-and-light stunt show, which is the park’s biggest highlight. Mariana is a seasonal water park that typically closes during off-peak months. Its most famous attractions include the "Big Tsunami," "Wizard Airship," and "Shark Wave Rider" water rides, and it opens every summer.
