Qingjing Farm is situated in Dingyuan Lane, Datong Village, Ren'ai Township, Nantou County, spanning about 760 hectares with an elevation of around 1,748 meters. Nestled among the mountains, it boasts vast vistas where you can witness the spectacular sunrise over Qilai Mountain and gaze at the snow-capped Hehuan Mountain in the distance. Introduction to the Farm

Qingjing Farm features numerous themed areas. The Sheep Area is home to many breeds of sheep, such as black goats, black-bellied sheep, and Taiwanese dairy goats—all incredibly adorable.

The Cattle Area raises various breeds from around the world, including Santa Gertrudis, German Yellow Cattle, Brahman, Charolais, Dutch Cattle, Angus, and Japanese Wagyu.

The Fruit and Vegetable Area is divided into a temperate fruit zone and an alpine vegetable zone, growing sweet fruits such as California plums, peaches, pears, apples, and kiwis, as well as fresh vegetables like cabbage, spinach, pea sprouts, Chinese cabbage, and jade-green cabbage—ensuring the freshest produce to enjoy.

The Alpine Flower Area cultivates a variety of high-value plants, including lilies, tulips, calla lilies, and other temperate flowers.

Six Major Hiking Trails

Qingjing Farm has developed six major hiking trails. The Cuihu Trail is 2,300 meters long, featuring expansive tea plantations and the scenery of Green Lake, which looks as lush and vibrant as a lake, offering a truly refreshing experience.

The Livestock Trail is 500 meters long, with the farm’s livestock center at the entrance, allowing you to get up close and personal with flocks of sheep and herds of cattle.

The Cedar Trail is 750 meters long, where groves of cedar trees provide the perfect serene setting for enjoying forest bathing.

The Sunset Trail is 1,000 meters long and offers the best spot to watch the sunset.

The Step-Up Trail is 1,800 meters long and, as the name suggests, is a trail that takes you step-by-step uphill.

The Margaret Trail is 600 meters long and is the most popular of the six trails, covered with white French daisies (marguerites), giving it a distinct European charm.

A Four-Season Travel Destination

Qingjing Farm is a joy to visit all year round. In early spring, birds are chirping, grass is sprouting, and peach and plum blossoms are competing in full bloom across the mountains. In summer and autumn, alpine wildflowers burst into color. In late autumn, fiery red maple leaves set the mountaintops and waters aglow. In winter, snow blankets the distant peaks, creating yet another captivating scene.

The famous homestay area of Qingjing Farm is another highlight for tourists. Each building has its own unique style, and you can spend time exploring them one by one, feeling as though you're strolling through various parts of Europe. 2008 Qingjing Farm International Grassland Carnival Ticket

Full price: NT$250; student and group tickets: NT$200 (for groups of 30 or more).

Viewing ticket: NT$150, applicable for those who have already purchased the general Qingqing Grassland ticket and wish to upgrade on-site to watch the Qingjing Grassland Carnival performances. Opening Hours: Qingqing Grassland is open daily from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Sheep Show Performance Time: Performed on public holidays, Saturdays, and Sundays; shows are held at 9:30 AM and 2:30 PM, each lasting about 30 minutes; location: within Qingqing Grassland; show suspension: no performance on Wednesdays and during rainy weather. Transport

High-Speed Rail

Take the high-speed rail to Taichung Station and then transfer to other public transportation.

Bus

1. Take a Kuo-Kuang Bus from Taichung to Puli → Nantou Bus → Qingjing Farm to Songgang or Cuifeng.

2. From Taipei Kuo-Kuang Bus West Terminal → via Taichung Chaoma Station to Puli → transfer to Nantou Bus to Songgang or Cuifeng → Qingjing Farm. Buses run from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM, with one bus every hour on the hour.
