Nantou Lantern Festival, Sand Sculpture Art Exhibition, and Dinosaur Exhibition: Three Major Events Open Simultaneously on the 21st

The Lunar New Year is approaching,and the “2017 Nantou Lantern Festival, Sand Sculpture Art Exhibition, and Dinosaur Exhibition” will grandly open on the 21st at the Nantou City Convention and Exhibition Center.Coinciding with the Year of the Rooster in the lunar calendar, the rooster-themed main lantern of the Nantou Lantern Festival combines elements of Nantou’s landscape and uses sound, light, form, and shadow to create an impressive and dazzling display. Additionally, 12 themed lantern zones have been planned to bring a lively New Year vibe to the public.

At the same time, the Nantou Dinosaur Park Exhibition, which integrates modern technology with lifelike dinosaur models, will offer a model exhibition experience unlike any other, creating a family-friendly amusement park. In addition to a dinosaur photo zone, 3D mural area, Dinosaur Time Corridor, comic interaction zone, and a dinosaur racetrack, a special 5D dynamic cinema has been introduced. Through visual, audiovisual, and physical effects, visitors can feel as though they’ve stepped into the ancient world of dinosaurs.

In addition, the Nantou International Sand Sculpture Culture and Art Exhibition breaks from the tradition of short-term sand sculpture displays by establishing the nation’s first permanent international sand sculpture art and culture park. It showcases works by master sand sculptors from Japan, South Korea, China, Canada, Taiwan, and other countries, featuring nine major themes such as Nantou Landscapes, Journey to Peach Blossom Spring, and Gateway to Art, allowing visitors to enter the imaginative world of sand sculpture.
