London’s “World’s Longest Tunnel Slide” – Back to Ground Level from the 35th Floor in Just 40 Seconds

This so-called world’s tallest tunnel slide, the “ArcelorMittal Orbit,” features a slide that is 178 meters long and approximately 114 meters high (equivalent to a 38-story building). It is located within the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London. Originally built for use during the Olympic Games, if you want to experience the slide, you can start from the highest observation point.

The ArcelorMittal Orbit tunnel slide has 12 turns, but its most distinctive feature is the final 50-meter straight acceleration zone, which sends you hurtling toward the ground at high speed, offering an adrenaline rush like no other. For safety reasons, participants must wear a helmet and use a specially designed sliding sack to prevent accidents.

Tickets for the tunnel slide experience are required—15 British pounds (approximately 580 New Taiwan dollars) for adults and 10 British pounds for children. While tickets can be purchased on the day, it is recommended to book online in advance. Not only can you get discounted prices, but you can also avoid the risk of tickets selling out.
