Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village is located in Yuchi Township, Nantou County, Taiwan. It is a theme park centered around the nine major indigenous tribes of Taiwan, covering an expansive area of 62 hectares and built along the mountainside. In 2009, the park completed the construction of the Sun Moon Lake Gondola, connecting the Park’s Guanshan Building to the Sun Moon Lake Youth Activity Center, linking the two attractions. Along the ride, visitors can enjoy breathtaking views of the lake and surrounding mountains, and on clear days, even catch glimpses of the Puli Basin in the distance.

Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village is a theme park that showcases the cultural characteristics of Taiwan’s nine major indigenous tribes — the Atayal, Saisiyat, Tsou, Bunun, Puyuma, Rukai, Tao, Amis, Paiwan, and Thao. The park consists of three main themed areas: the Indigenous Culture Area, the Happy World, and the European Garden. In the European Garden, visitors can admire distinctive European-style landscapes including Baroque architecture, modular gardens, and geometric flower beds. The Indigenous Culture Area features replicas of traditional tribal houses, performance theaters showcasing indigenous dance and artistry, such as the Naluwan Theater and the Stone Sound Theater, immersing guests in the rich cultures of these tribes. The most popular among children is undoubtedly the Happy World, where they can join adults on adventures like exploring the Caribbean, racing down the Space Mountain, or riding the waves of the Hawaiian Surf… offering endless fun.
