Badouzih Fishing Port was built in 1975 and is the largest fishing port in northern Taiwan. The nearby fishing village often features spreads of dried agar and rows of “fish sheds.” This is a well-known fish processing hub in Taiwan, handling catches such as squid, anchovies, mackerel, and flying fish roe.

Wangyou Valley is a V-shaped valley situated between Badouzih and Changtanli. The entire valley is covered with lush green grass and features undulating terrain. From here, you can enjoy a close-up view of Badouzih Fishing Port and gaze at Keelung Islet in the sea. There is also a staircase leading down the valley. By following a path beside the cliff top and descending, you’ll reach a beach about 20 meters wide, which boasts geological formations such as wave-cut platforms and tofu rocks. With its combination of sandy and rocky landscapes, the area is perfect for shell collecting, crab catching, and playing in the tide.

If you climb up to the hilltop platform along the circumferential mountain road, the panoramic view here features vast blue waters. At night, the twinkling fishing boats on the sea complement the lights of the coastal highway, creating a stunning night scene. Alternatively, you can look back at the glowing lights of Jiufen, the mountain town, offering a uniquely charming view.
