The Yellow Rubber Duck set to arrive in Keelung next Saturday is getting its surrounding activities planned in full swing! In addition to the previously announced pre-sale information for the Yellow Rubber Duck tourist passport, today also brought news about the Taiwan Railways Yellow Rubber Duck train. Aside from operating extra services between December 21 and February 8 of the year 103 (2014), a total of 50 days, to accommodate duck fans, on weekends, fans will also have the chance to take a specially painted Yellow Rubber Duck train to Keelung to see the duck.

To coincide with the Keelung Yellow Rubber Duck event, Taiwan Railways has added three routes: Keelung–Shulin, Keelung–Qidu, and Keelung–Hsinchu. Additionally, on Saturdays, Sundays, as well as January 1 and January 31, and February 3 and 4 of 2014, the EMU100 series Yellow Rubber Duck special train will run, with three services per day, totaling 57 services. Stops along the way include Shulin, Banqiao, Taipei, Songshan, Nangang, Qidu, and Keelung stations.

The Keelung Yellow Rubber Duck will span major holidays such as Christmas, New Year’s Eve, and Lunar New Year. It is recommended that duck fans make use of public transportation to get to Keelung to see the duck.
