The Rubber Duck, which will be making its splash in Keelung next Saturday, is surrounded by activities that are being planned at full steam. In addition to the previously announced pre-sale information for the Rubber Duck tourist passport, today also brings news about the Taiwan Railways Yellow Rubber Duck Train. Not only will there be additional train services running between December 21 and February 8 of the next year (a total of 50 days) to accommodate the influx of duck fans, but on weekends, fans will also have the chance to ride a specially painted Yellow Rubber Duck train to Keelung to see the attraction.

In coordination with the Keelung Yellow Rubber Duck event, Taiwan Railways has added three new routes: Keelung–Shulin, Keelung–Qidu, and Keelung–Hsinchu. Additionally, on Saturdays, Sundays, as well as January 1 and January 31, and February 3 and 4, 2014, there will be special EMU100 series Yellow Rubber Duck trains, running three services per day for a total of 57 services. These trains will stop at Shulin, Banqiao, Taipei, Songshan, Nangang, Qidu, and Keelung stations.

The Yellow Rubber Duck in Keelung will span major holidays such as Christmas, New Year’s Eve, and Lunar New Year. It's recommended that fans use public transportation to get to Keelung to see the duck.
