Ulasgou Waterfall

Guide: The distance from the entrance of Ulasgou to the waterfall is about 16–17 kilometers. Half of the road is dirt, suitable for driving a 212 off-road vehicle, while the other half can only be traveled by horseback or on foot. Description: The Ulasgou valley is narrow, with steep rocks on both sides. The valley floor is covered with weathered fallen rocks, overgrown with wild grass, and shaded by towering trees, with clear streams flowing among the rocks. Hiking takes about three hours.

About half a kilometer from the waterfall, you can hear the roaring sound of water cascading down from rocks more than ten meters high, crashing into pools and striking rocks at the bottom of the valley. Birch trees, with diameters of about 20–30 centimeters, grow along the stream, while spruce and pine trees grow on the rocky mountainsides, appearing as if they are growing straight out of the rocks—creating a uniquely stunning landscape. The ecological environment here remains pristine, with no human disturbance. The waterfall was only discovered in recent years, found by fishing enthusiasts. It’s said that flower stick fish and red fish can be caught in the stream, and red fish weighing over 2 kilograms have been caught in the pools.
