Jinshan Grape Garden is a National AAA-level tourist attraction.

The Jinshan Grape Garden Scenic Area is located 1 kilometer southwest of Altay City, covering a total area of over 2,500 acres. It is a comprehensive, high-end ecological tourism destination that combines local folk customs with sightseeing, tourism, planting, breeding, and leisure vacationing. In 2005, it was rated as a National AAA-level scenic spot and a “National Agricultural Tourism Demonstration Site.”

Since 2002, leveraging the national policy on afforestation of barren hills and with strong support from both the regional and municipal governments, the city’s public bus company has invested over 8.7 million yuan to develop and construct the Jinshan Grape Scenic Area. They have planted 35 new varieties of fruit trees including mountain ash, blackcurrant, yellow maple, and Tatarian maple, greening an area of 500 acres. Supporting facilities such as a comprehensive reception center, grape pergola, and bonfire square have been built, gradually transforming the former barren slope into a beautifully landscaped and well-equipped tourist destination. At the same time, the scenic area has also vigorously developed the cultivation of pollution-free vegetables and fruits, actively building itself into a demonstration zone for green ecological products. With its outstanding pastoral ecological features, the area has attracted numerous tourists for sightseeing, achieving excellent economic and social benefits.

Grapes from Xinjiang are famous nationwide. The Jinshan Grape Garden in Altay City, developed in 2002, serves as a local grape cultivation demonstration site and is also recognized as a National Agricultural Tourism Demonstration Site. The scenic area primarily focuses on grape cultivation, featuring over 150 types of grapes and other crops, and has greened 500 acres of barren hills. The park's tourism infrastructure has been increasingly improved, with related facilities such as yurts and a tourist reception center having been constructed. By integrating agricultural tourism with eco-tourism, the scenic area boasts distinctive natural ecological features, providing visitors from both within and outside the region with a resort destination that combines travel, sightseeing, and leisure.
