Jinshan Forest Park in Altay City, a national 3A-level tourist attraction and a national agricultural tourism demonstration site, is just 1 kilometer away from the bustling city center. The park covers an area of 1,800 acres, featuring undulating terrain with elevations ranging from 890 to 970 meters and a natural elevation difference of 80 meters. A branch of the Kran River, the Ulash Gully Canal, flows through the park, providing it with a precious and abundant source of life. Multiple underground springs within the park gush forth year-round, and one such spring seeps out to form a natural water surface, which has now been expanded into an artificial lake spanning a total area of 11,486 square meters, becoming a major highlight for sightseeing. The park includes nine major scenic areas: a forest seedling breeding zone, a botanical viewing area, a birch forest landscape, a pastoral scenery area, a legacy area of Chenghua, a wildlife zone, a silver lake emerald area, a ski resort, and a Golden Mountain bonfire evening event.

The park has a green coverage rate of over 70%, with lush vegetation, shaded trees, a pleasant climate, fresh air, and an exceptionally high concentration of negative oxygen ions. Its atmospheric environment meets the national Class I standard, making it a true natural oxygen bar. This typical natural ecological scenic area offers picturesque views in all seasons. In spring, mountain flowers bloom profusely and birds sing by the ponds; in summer, lush green landscapes prevail, with mountain springs flowing and the sound of pine waves rustling; in autumn, the scenery turns resplendent as leaves turn golden and crimson, forests are dyed in layers of color, and fruits fill the air with fragrance; in winter, ice peaks and snow valleys present polar-like scenery — "Who says there are no beautiful scenes in harsh winter? The predecessor of Jinshan Forest Park was the Altay Regional Nursery, a seedling base for cultivating various types of trees. In 2004, the Altay Regional Forestry Bureau invested nearly 20 million yuan to develop and construct the entire park, transforming it into a comprehensive tourist area offering dining, accommodation, entertainment, leisure, skiing, and more. It has also become one of the main recreational destinations for people of all ethnic groups in Altay City, and is a city leisure park with excellent development prospects, possessing the resource and geographic advantages needed to be developed into a 4A-level tourist attraction.
