The Red Stone Scenic Area is a national AA-level tourist attraction.

The Red Stone Scenic Area is a national 2A-level tourist destination, situated on the banks of the Kran River within the State-owned First Ranch in Altay City. It is located 8 kilometers from the urban center, spans roughly 2.56 kilometers from north to south and about 0.21 to 0.65 kilometers from east to west, covering an area of 1,650 mu at an altitude of 700 meters. It is a scenic area famed for its natural beauty, including landscapes of mountains, rivers, forests, and pastoral scenes.

In the middle section of the scenic area, there is a prominent red-stone mountain peak nestled against the mountains and river. It is over 60 meters wide and about 80 meters high, with its summit resembling the side profile of a lion’s head. The peak stands majestically and is spectacular in appearance. Inside the mountain, there are natural stone caves — hence the name "Red Stone." Along the course of the Kran River, the scenic area offers numerous natural attractions such as Lion Head, Soap Cave, and Heaven’s Crack. A set of 150 steps allows for easy exploration of the area’s scenery. There are two rest areas provided for visitors, along with a dining section. The scenic area’s farming site is also worth visiting, as it is home to African blue-necked ostriches.
