Kalagai Basitao

Kalagai Basitao, meaning "Pine Spring" in Kazakh. Legend has it that long ago, an elderly Kazakh man discovered a spring here, with a pine tree growing beside it—hence the name. To protect this precious source of life, in 1993, the Toli County People's Government built the Kalagai Basitao Tower. The hexagonal, hollow tower stands 15 meters tall and has four levels, each with six doors. The door lintels are arched and purple-red, while the tower itself is white—elegant, striking, and towering. From the top, visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of Toli County. The surrounding area is lush with greenery, dotted with wooden houses, pavilions, and eagle sculptures, creating a picturesque scene rich in ethnic character that is a feast for the eyes.
