6-story artificial waves, 17-meter water slides — Thailand’s must-visit new top three theme parks

The summer vacation is halfway over — have you traveled abroad yet? The Tourism Authority of Thailand officially recommends three new theme parks located in Phuket and Hua Hin’s Cha-Am. In addition to the thrilling 17-meter-high water slides and the refreshing 6-story wave pool, the amusement park near Cha-Am Beach features 140 boutique shops, making it the most recommended new theme park this summer. Travelers still planning a trip to Thailand may want to take note.

Phuket “Splash Jungle Water Park”

Located at Centara Grand West Sands and Villas, the fun-filled Splash Jungle Water Park is known as Phuket’s “wildest water park.” The park has seven themed zones that take you on a journey around the world — from the Inca ruins and the vast North American wilderness to the mysterious lands of Africa and Asia, as well as Scandinavia and ancient Turkey. The 6-story wave pool is as thrilling as a giant funnel ride, and there’s also a 335-meter-long lazy river. Adults can enjoy the ice igloo sauna and hot spring pools for a relaxing spa experience. The Coconut Café between the wave pool and lazy river serves burgers, hot dogs, fries, and Thai fast food, while Splash Bar offers cool, refreshing drinks. For those wanting a more substantial meal, Jungle Deli is the place to go for a hearty feast.

Hua Hin “Black Mountain Water Park”

Black Mountain Water Park was originally conceived as a fun place for kids while their parents enjoyed a round of golf at Black Mountain Golf Course. Now, it attracts families visiting the famous beach resort destination of Hua Hin. The park features nine exciting water slides atop a 17-meter tower — some enclosed, some open-air — with winding tracks that connect to the pool below, filled with the joyful screams and laughter of both adults and children. There are also seven different pools in the park, including a lazy river where you can float along the current, and a wave pool where kids can experience the thrill of “riding the ocean waves.” The pool bar and restaurant offer a variety of drinks and meals, making it the perfect way to enjoy a day out.

Cha-Am “Santorini Theme Park”

Santorini Park is situated on a flat plot of land just before reaching Cha-Am Beach along Petchkasem Road, where you’ll find a 40-meter-tall Ferris wheel overlooking the Santorini Park in Cha-Am. The park combines a boutique shopping village with an amusement park. Named after the famous Greek island of Santorini, the park features over 140 boutique shops and stores housed in white-washed buildings, selling a range of world-renowned brands as well as handmade gifts and souvenirs. Nearby rest areas in the park include cafés and fast-food outlets, and there’s also Santorini Water Park with thrilling water slides. The activity zone regularly hosts concerts and events, making it a shopping, dining, and entertainment complex by the Gulf of Thailand.
