If Casablanca is a passionate man, then Chefchaouen is the most romantic one. Having just returned from Greece, having seen the world’s most acclaimed sunset and most beautiful city, weiwei didn’t actually find the beauty of the Greek Aegean Sea particularly impressive. She only felt that there were too many tourists in Greece, everywhere was packed with people and it was impossible to relax properly, making it feel rather commercialized.

Having visited many romantic countries, the memories of Morocco’s blue city, Chefchaouen, have lingered in my heart. That dreamlike place, every corner, every turn, kept my heart in that beautiful moment.

Chefchaouen might be a bit unfamiliar to Taiwanese people, after all, no romantic love movies have been filmed here, nor has there been any commercial hype. There is only a kind of natural, uncontrived beauty here. Within that blue atmosphere, various ornaments or paintings are all beautifully set off.

Even the cats can enjoy the laziness of the mountain town, freely basking in the sunlight on their bodies, enjoying this wonderful ambiance. Such an adorable scene that even weiwei couldn’t help but press the shutter, capturing it to share with everyone.

In Chefchaouen, everywhere you can see winding grapevines, their tendrils weaving a dreamlike illusion, making you want to live forever in this wonderful dream.

Every casual turn can become the most beautiful scene in your mind. weiwei found the sweet feeling of first love in this city as beautiful as a dream. If Santorini is the most romantic city, I can only say, Santorini without its sunset is just Santorini.

Standing on the mountainside opposite Chefchaouen, gazing at the entire town, immerses you in happiness. At a glance, the whole mountain town is made up of blue buildings stacked in different shades. And the deeper you go down the town, the darker the blue of the houses becomes.

The architecture of the houses in Chefchaouen feels somewhat similar to the Greek style, all built around the mountain, layer upon layer. The only difference is the color — here in Chefchaouen, everything is a beautiful, beautiful blue.

The beauty of Chefchaouen is not forced. Its buildings, doors, and alleyways are so unrealistically beautiful. Each archway offers a view of another beautiful painting, and each staircase and step leads to a new world.

If someone asks me, where do you think is the most romantic place in the world?? I would answer: Chefchaouen in Morocco. Only those who have been here can witness this incredible beauty.
