Bayindun Du'er Obo is located to the west of the county seat of Hoboksar Mongol Autonomous County, with a straight-line distance of 41 km

. Also known as Dushan Obo, it derives its name from the solitary and prominent peak in the area — Bayindun Du'er Mountain. The area around it is vast Gobi grassland, with no other mountains in sight, hence the name "Dushan" (Lonely Mountain), making it the most prominent landmark here. Bayindun Du'er Obo has a history of over 200 years. In 1771, after the return of the Torghut tribe to the motherland, the thirteen banners and fourteen sums of the northern route chose Bayindun Du'er Mountain (also known as Dushan) as their sacred Obo. Every year during the fourth and fifth months of the lunar calendar, they held the Takelgan ceremony to worship the deities, praying for good fortune, favorable weather, and thriving livestock. This was followed by entertainment activities such as horse racing, wrestling, singing, and dancing. To this day, the Takelgan Festival remains a grand celebration for the Torghut Mongolian people. During the festival, people of all ages dress in vibrant attire and bring cooked meat to take part in these various activities. Visitors can also take the opportunity to experience this magnificent and mysterious Mongolian festival.
